Had an interview with PD to talk about IDP, Individual Development Plan, a slang means "career planng" to determine and set the career goal and design career path. Most of all, he mentioned current goal image relating to PMT leadership such as PCM, project control manager may not be preferrable because of my career background relationg to strategic and planning, innovation and IT so recommended more comfortable position, functional leadership like planning, business mgmt or PI related jobs. In addition, he told PCM requirements might be minimum three or four projects experienced personnel so my future value would be just conventional level and less valuable considering maximum charged assumption at current career field, project side. OK. He can imagine any other scenario but whether I accept or not is another matter. The point is surely what I want to be. - Will I be a function leader or project leader in the future? Is it assures my professionalism and sustainability?
